ReplyDeleteThank you Ishitha!
Deletetill when this syllabus applies?
ReplyDeleteThat is uncertain. Until the IB announces a change in syllabus, we will not know till when this syllabus is applicable.
DeleteWelcome to my blog and do let me know your name.
Thank you! Do you know if the LAQ will ever ask for specific theories or models? Would they, for example, ask explicitly about theory of planned behaviour, or would they instead ask something more general about thinking and decision making?
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog.
DeleteThe IB leaves the selection of theories and studies within content topics to the candidate. Hence, it does not ask for specific theories or studies. The pattern of forming questions for the IB psychology paper is to combine a command term with a broad topic (emboldened) under the 'content' column in the syllabus table in the guide.
For the example you have given, some potential questions are -
"Discuss any one theory of thinking and decision making."
"Evaluate any one theory of decision making with the help of two or more studies."
"Contrast any two theories of thinking and decision making."
"To what extent does thinking affect decision making?"
